Smooth teddies, fuzzy teddies, ready-for-a-cuddle teddies. With such deliciously warm words, and irresistible illustrations from Sam Williams, this is a book that invites hours of sharing, smiling, talking, and learning. The simple text is lovely to read out loud and complements pages that are chock-full of vibrant, attractive, desirable toys, grouped together just as they would be in the most tempting of catalogues. We are led visually through the book by a couple of soft toy characters - a little penguin chick and a piglet. Their appearance on every spread gives the book a particularly intimate and special feel for the youngest of readers. The pictures will enchant and engage babies and toddlers and there are many opportunities for pointing out particular toys, colours and shapes. The book finishes with some fun suggestions for matching and finding activities that parents and children can do together. This book would make an adorable, enduring addition to any nursery bookshelf and is a perfect gift for a new baby. Not only is it a beautiful book, it will prove an invaluable resource as babies start to develop early language and visual-recognition skills.
