Milan Tytla earned his PhD in 1982 in Experimental Psychology, specializing in vision. Since then he has been Staff Scientist in the Departments of Ophthalmology, The Hospital for Sick Children and Toronto Hospital, and taught a course in perception at the University of Toronto.
