Christopher Gray's interest in literature was first sparked by Enid Blyton when he was in Grade 3. He has lived in Melbourne his whole life, and worked as a professional actor for ten years in films and television. During the 1980s he was a lead singer in a rock band and found songwriting a valuable way to practice his craft. He then settled down to study, first a BA in Media Studies, followed by a Diploma of Education in Primary Teaching. He has worked as a teacher ever since, while concentrating on writing in his spare time.
