Christina Gabbitas, wanted a writing initiative that could encourage children of all abilities (ages7-11) to 'have a go' at writing. The children were invited to write an 'Eight Line Rhyme' about creatures and/or food. There are children from all corners of the UK, with poems published, in this A4 brightly coloured and illustrated book. (illustrated by Ric Lumb)Christina, was inspired by her own son, who had a poem published in an uninspiring book (at a considerable cost) that was made available to families and friends. However, Christina wanted a book that could be shared with the world, to help inspire other children to read and write. There is a GBP1.00 donation made to Barnardos, from the sale of each book.
