A selection of well-known tales from the Christian tradition, such as those of Christopher, Patrick and Francis, along with the lesser-known Cinderella Saint, A Fisher Princess and The Legend of the River That Disappeared. They are simple yet profound tales with thought-provoking themes of generosity, humility, neighbourliness, true greatness, self sacrifice, courage and love. Grown-ups will enjoy revisiting them and sharing them with children who encounter them for the first time. 'Tales and Legends is a rare and sparkling jewel among a wealth of children's books. Its charm, illustrations and carefully written stories make it stand out from the rest...' Methodist Recorder
