J. Patrick Lewis is the Poetry Foundation's 2011-2013 Children's Poet Laureate. He is the award-winning author of more than 75 books for young people and lives in Westerville, Ohio. R. Gregory Christie lives in Brooklyn, New York. J. PATRICK LEWIS has written more than thirty-five books for children, including Please Bury Me in the Library , illustrated by Kyle M. Stone. He lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Poetry for Young People: Walt Whitman was Jim Burke's first illustrated picture book, created in 1996. He has since illustrated a number of lauded children's books, including Take Me Out to the Ball Game which he created to coincide with Jack Norworth's 1908 lyrics. Jim has won numerous accolades for his paintings, including a Gold Medal from the prestigious Society of Illustrators in New York City. Jim, his wife, and their young daughter live in Brooklyn, New York. John Parra is an award-winning illustrator whose books have received starred reviews. He has received the SCBWI Golden Kite Award for illustration, the International Latino Book Award for Best Children's Book Illustrations, and three Pura Belpre Illustrator Honor awards. He lives in Queens, New York. MARY JOSLIN is the author of a number of storybooks for children. Some of her titles are: The Goodbye Boat, The Minstrel's Tale and The Heaven Tree.
