This informative book covers the life stories of Homer, Sappho, Pythagoras, Aeschylus, Pericles, Socrates, Hippocrates, Alexander and Archimedes. Each person represents a different aspect of Greek civilisation. For example, Homer and Sappho were great poets, Aeschylus was a great playwright. Hippocrates was a doctor and Archimedes was a great scientist. All of these people made discoveries that still affect our lives today.
