Author George Fichter is a former editor of the Golden Guides series and the Golden Encyclopedia of Natural His-tory. For several years he was editor in chief of Fisherman Press. He has written more than fifty books about wildlife and the outdoors, as well as three books on American his-tory. Since 1983 he has been the writer-in-residence at Stetson University. A graduate of the University of Montana, Joe Boddy is a well-known illustrator of children's books. He lives in Montana.
