Once more Hairy Mole has the whiff of the sea in his nostrils. Together with his crew Belch, Pickle, the twins Crevice and Pitt, tiny Guff and Mr Bogey the first mate, he sets out to sail the high seas once again. On their epic journey they meet an Italian pirate ship manned by colourful non-smelly pirates with exotic birds on their heads. Bravely Hairy Mole and his bold crew struggle on, eventually to be rescued from certain doom by thousands of seagulls in the most dramatic and splendid way possible. This is laugh-out-loud fun with Hairy Mole and his silly pirate crew! As with all four titles in the Hairy Mole series, this book is overflowing with excitement and adventure, the illustrations practically leaping off the page and the text struggling to stay still. The playful layouts offer a reduced amount of text on each page, making it even more suitable for newly independent readers.
