Most nurseries and reception classes have "homes" on their list of favourite themes. This book provides all the material needed to plan and carry out the theme. There are 48 pages of cross-curricular activities looking at all aspects of homes. Chapters cover: my home; what happens at home; things we have at home; safety; places around my home; and animal homes. Eight linking photocopiable sheets provide reinforcement activities and there is a chapter of ideas for display. There are a further 25 pages of photocopiable stories, poems, songs and assembly ideas all based on the theme. A topic web for planning links the activities to both the National Curriculum and the Scottish 5 - 14 Guidelines.
