Manju wants to get a present for her Mum's birthday but Cumin her cat isn't sure about the toy elephant or robot. So when they find Grandma's magic lamp, Manju is granted seven wishes to find the best present. But each wish starts to go wrong and soon the house is filled with a rock band, aliens and pirates! Chitra Soundar is an Indian-born British writer and storyteller. She grew up with stories from myths and epics from India and is inspired by its diverse culture and natural beauty. Chitra has over 30 books in print worldwide and regularly goes into schools to tell stories and conduct workshops. Her book Pattan's Pumpkin was long-listed for the North Somerset Teacher's Book Award and chosen as a book in the Power of Reading series by CLPE. Veronica Montoya is an illustrator from Alicante, a little city in the south east of Spain. She has loved drawing and painting for as long as she can remember and thinks her main influences come from childhood inspirations. Veronica studied Fine Arts in Valencia and has two masters on Digital Creation and 2D Animation. If she's not illustrating, you can find her walking by the sea with her little dog. Chitra Soundar was born in India, has lived in Singpore and now makes her home in London. Her primary interest is in writing picture books and books for early and emergent readers. She enjoys retelling funny folktales from around the world, especially from India.
