Great for age 11-18 years

SNAP Infant Check is a new computer-aided assessment for use with children aged 5-7, and is designed to help you pinpoint and respond immediately to potential barriers to a child's learning, at the first opportunity.

SNAP Infant Check alerts you to patterns of difficulties associated with the eight most prolific special educational needs: emergent dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia; speech, language and communication difficulties; autistic spectrum disorders; sensory impairments; and behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. It also looks beyond these core categories to analyse fifteen associated strands that may contribute to a child's own unique 'mix' of difficulties.

SNAP Infant Check guides you through a questionnaire which draws upon your professional judgement and classroom observations, with parental input if appropriate. The SNAP-I profile then links to focussed activities, resources and 'next steps' advice through personalised information sheets which provide practical classroom teaching and support strategies (including home support).

This robust and standalone assessment allows you to explore and make sense of a child's patterns of difficulties, to profile any apparent barriers to learning, to point the way to the most appropriate 'next steps' provision or referral, and to monitor subsequent progress.

Full instructions for using and interpreting the SNAP Infant Check are provided in the User's Handbook, available separately. The CD-ROM comes with a two-year, single-user licence.
