"Persian Cinderella" by Shirley Climo is a captivating retelling of the classic Cinderella tale set in ancient Persia. The story follows a young girl named Afsaneh, who, despite her hardships and the cruelty of her stepmother, remains kind-hearted and hopeful. With the help of a magical fish, she finds a way to attend the royal palace's grand feast, where she captures the attention of the prince. As Afsaneh navigates her challenges, themes of resilience, kindness, and the importance of inner beauty shine through, making this a delightful tale enriched with cultural elements and enchanting illustrations.
