Shirley Climo is the author of many children's books including The Egyptian Cinderella and King of the Birds, both illustrated by Ruth Heller, and T. J. 's Ghost. She lives in Los Altos, CA. Ruth Heller travelled to Korea to do the research for this book. She is the author-illustrator of Up, Up and Away, among many other books for children, and lives in San Francisco, CA. Ruth Heller (1923-2004) began her career designing wrapping paper, cocktail napkins, greeting cards, and coloring books. Her first book, Chickens Aren't the Only Ones , about egg-laying animals, was published in 1981. It was so successful that the sequel, Animals Born Alive And Well (1982), quickly followed.
