This collection of daft verse contains over 65 poems about creatures of all shapes and sizes, smells and habits - aliens, giants, dinosaurs, monsters, babies, a fish with legs, a frogpig and many more. This is a companion to "There's An Awful Lot of Weirdos in Our Neighbourhood". Colin McNaughton has also written "Have You Seen Who's Just Moved In Next Door To Us" (winner of the 1991 Emil/Kurt Maschler Award), "Who's That Banging on the Ceiling?", "Watch Out for the Giant-Killers" (shortlisted for the 1991 Earthworm Award), "Jolly Roger" (winner of the British Book Award Children's Section and shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize), "The Pirats", "Santa Claus is Superman" and "Making Friends With Frankenstein".
