Strangers are rare in Jimmy McElhatton's village, so he's surprised when he meets an unusual woman down at Hegarty's old place. Then he meets another, standing on the footbridge at night! Who are they? What do they want?

In another hair-raising adventure, involving wishing wells and weird cries, strange signs and mysterious women, the hero of Jimmy's Leprechaun Trap tries to help a sick friend and falls foul of that fiercesome Irish fiend -- the Banshee.
