One morning, Gruff the Grump meets a little rabbit clinging to a branch, clutching a fallen star. The little rabbit is trying to rescue all the stars she keeps finding, and needs a big, kind friend like Gruff to help. Gruff certainly doesn't want a friend but the rabbit is rather determined.

Sue Mongredien has written over one hundred books, including the Oliver Moon and The Secret Mermaid series. She has also written the Kitten Club series for Stripes Publishing. Sue lives in Bath with her husband and three children. Cee Biscoe studied Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, gaining an MA in 2007. She lives in Suffolk with her husband and a small garden full of wildlife, many of which creep and crawl their way into her illustrations.
