He is the author of a number of textbooks, regular blogger and expert speaker at a range of regional and national teaching events. Waqar Ahmad Ahmedi is Head of RE at one of the leading comprehensive schools in Birmingham, and a regular expert speaker at subject conferences. He has extensive examining experience for major awarding bodies. Waqar also writes regularly about faith and education, including textbooks for the latest GCSE RS specifications, and has been advising schools on the teaching of Islam. Andy Lewis is an Assistant Subject Leader in RS and Head of Year in a Catholic school in Upminster and a regular blogger, Tweeter and expert speaker at a range of regional and national teaching events. Rev Dr Paul Rowan is Director of Faith Formation and Religious Literacy, Beaulieu Convent School, Jersey. He is a member of the Board of Religious Studies for the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. Cathy Hobday is senior lecturer in education for RE at St Mary's University, Twickenham. She previously taught in schools in Surrey and is the PGCE RE tutor at St Mary's. Cavan Wood is a Religious Studies teacher and author of several textbooks on RE themes. He is a former Farmington fellow of Harris Manchester College, Oxford. Cavan Wood has been a Head of RE for 20 years. He has written books on teaching RE including The RE Teacher's Handbook (Continuum) and textbooks for Key Stages 3 and 4 as well as PSHE resources. He has also written for assembly resources and is a regular book reviewer. He is interested in films, books and politics.
