A biography of ?Saint Bob?, Sir Bob Geldof, the rock star who deviated from his chosen career to raise funds for the starving of Africa (via Band Aid) and who has since gone on to become a spokesman for a generation and a starving continent. Born and raised in Dublin, Geldof went on to become a pop star with The Boomtown Rats and a worldfamous champion of human rights, organising Band Aid and Live Aid to help famine victims in Ethiopia. His work, for which he was knighted by the Queen of England in 1985, continues today.
