He lives with his family in Troy, Michigan. Catherine Friend is the author of several books for children, including Silly Ruby and Funny Ruby. She lives on a farm in south-eastern Minnesota, USA, with fifty sheep, four goats, three llamas, three dogs, and lots of chickens and ducks. John Manders is an author, artist and songwriter. He has illustrated many books for children including Minnie's Diner and Henry and the Buccaneer Bunnies (9780763624491). His madcap and painterly illustrations are well known in the USA, where he lives with his African grey parrot, who can converse in several languages.
