Catherine Chambers completed a degree in Swahili and African History at the University of London, and became an editor of educational books for Africa and the Caribbean (Evans Brothers). She has now written over 40 educational books for various publishers. Caroline Mockford gained a degree in fine art from Norwich School of Art, before completing a teacher-training course at Goldsmith's College, London. She went on to work as an art teacher and as a pre-school teacher. Stella Blackstone has been writing for children for over twenty years. She is also the author of Barefoot favourites such as the Bear series, The Wheels on the Bus and My Granny Went to Market.
