All children love to laugh and this lively collection of poems is guaranteed to raise a giggle and a smile from any child with a sense of fun. Such diverse poets as Hilaire Belloc, Philip Larkin, Wendy Cope and Spike Milligan ponder themes including families, creatures, learning and food, with plenty of cautionary advice thrown in for good measure! With a bright contemporary cover design and in a handy paperback format, this brilliant anthology is essential for any young reader.

Roger McGough is one of Britain's favourite poets. Born in Liverpool, Roger trained as a teacher, but his true calling was poetry. In addition to several prestigious awards, including the Signal Poetry Award (twice), Roger received an OBE in 1997 for services to poetry. Roger McGough lives in London. Caroline Holden's work as an illustrator includes the picture-book illustrations for the well-loved Adrian Mole books. She lives in London.
