Haddock is a small, green alien. She's come all the way from her home, Triangulum, on a special homework project to study Earth. This book follows her terrestrial adventures as she makes discoveries like cats and caravans, the world's most comfy bed and - the greatest invention in the whole galaxy - chips. Linda Hoy has also written "Your Friend, Rebecca", "Nightmare Park", "Ring of Death" and "KISS". Caroline Holden has previously illustrated "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole", "Clever Cakes", "Roseanne and the Magic Mirror" and "The Human Zoo".

Roger McGough is one of Britain's favourite poets. Born in Liverpool, Roger trained as a teacher, but his true calling was poetry. Over the past four decades he has published over 50 books, as well as writing for radio, film and television. His work for television and radio includes recent stints as stand-in presenter on BBC Radio 4's Home Truths. In addition to several prestigious awards, including the Signal Poetry Award (twice), Roger received an OBE in 1997 for services to poetry. Roger McGough lives in London. Caroline Holden's work as an illustrator includes the picture-book illustrations for the well-loved Adrian Mole books. She lives in London.
