Each of the four themed units contains a brief introduction followed by 30 experiments related to that area of science. Simple icons (an atom for physical science, a leaf for life science, an earth for earth science, and a circle of arrows for ecology and resources science) indicate and cross-reference experiments that may be used in other units, to allow additional flexibility for larger classes. To structure a science fair, a teacher chooses one of the four themes and assigns one project to each student. Using the reproducible instructions and templates provided, students complete their science projects and prepare their observations and presentations. Grades 4-6.
