"ICT Adventure" is an exciting new resource designed for teaching Early Years and Primary ICT with a minimum of fuss. The "Early Years" materials have been created in line with the QCA/DfES Curriculum Guidance for the foundation stage. It helps you integrate ICT across the curriculum and can be used with the generic software in use in school. "The Early Years Teacher's Guide" offers practical guidance on planning, organising and teaching high quality ICT related activities across a variety of different topics commonly found in foundation stage teaching. Together, these activities give excellent coverage of the six curriculum areas for the foundation stage. "The Teacher's Guide" is structured around 6 ICT Units: Models; Words; Information - pictures and sounds; Displaying information; Working with machines; and Following instructions. In each unit there is a choice of eight activities, one related to each of these topic areas: Plants and animals; Festivals, celebrations and holidays; Stories and rhymes; Numbers, shapes and patterns in the world around us; Ourselves; The seasons and the weather; Working with materials; and Where I live, and the people and things around me.
