Carlotta Hacker, who lives in London, Ontario, has written more than 20 books, many of them for children. They include The Book of Canadians which was awarded the Children's Book Centre Choice, and The Kids Book of Canadian History. She also edits, under her married name Carlotta Lemieux, and was Consulting and Contributing Editor of the The Junior Encyclopedia of Canada. John Mantha is an artist and illustrator.
