"What's that gloriously hideous, marvellously revolting smell?" The people in the city have had enough of Rocky Racoon rummaging through rubbish and leaving a mess. They send him into the forest where he picks up a horrid scent. Little does he know this leads him to a new friend. Join Rocky and Benji as they go on their adventure. Prize-winning Calum Torbett has created an entrancing picture storybook that children can't stop reading! Despite the fact that this highly innovative book centres around a topic that some people might frown at, Calum Torbett has managed to sensitively establish a well-written narrative with accompanying digital illustrations that are of the highest quality. Rivals are struggling to produce a better book! With a story proven to help educational development and pictures to capture the hearts and minds of many, Smelly Friends is a book amongst top selling children's books.

Calum Torbett always enjoys a creative challenge. Having excelled at the Arts University Bournemouth, he has worked in a variety of settings, ranging from clothing brands to illustrating children's books. Calum Torbett's bold and colourful approach to image production is achieved digitally, but without sacrificing any of the charm and naivety that hand drawn illustrations possess. His visual language oozes with a youthful optimism full of humour that is a direct reflection of his positively vivid imagination; the latter acquired by a reluctance to let go of the happiness of youth. When not working directly on illustrative masterpieces, Calum Torbett continues to find inspiration by travelling around the various cities he has called home, including Brighton, London and Amsterdam. It is these places that motivate his successful and vibrant work. Calum Torbett also has noteworthy experience as a Support Worker and volunteer in schools - both of which no doubt provide significant attributes when creating an exciting and engaging children's book.
