Old Mother Hubbard goes to the cupboard to get her hungry dog a bone. But there isn't a crumb in the kitchen. Rushing back and forth to town, she brings the dog gifts but none of them are edible! And while she's away, the dog is having a ball in the house: riding a goat, washing the cat, dancing a jig... What is all this nonsense leading up to?
