A woodland tale, with a surprising ending and a cutout plane kit, shortlisted for the Nottinghamshire Children's Book Award. A very large parcel stamped "Construction Kit" arrives at Mouse's house one morning. Inside is a mountain of bits and pieces, nuts and bolts, pipes and wheels. But how does it all fit together? Mouse thinks she can do it - no problem. Her creation, though, is just one of several forms the kit will take on the eventful journey to Rat's house. For Mouse's friends, Badger, Otter and Shrew, each has her own idea what the kit should look like! The secret, of course, as they finally discover, is to read the instructions! Eileen Brown's books include "Through My Window", which was shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize in 1986. She has also written "No Problem", "Tick Tock" and "Where's My Bus?". David Parkins has illustrated "Tick-Tock" and "Prowlpuss" (shortlisted for the 1994 Kurt Maschler Award).
