"He came down to earth from heaven", reads one popular Christmas carol. But what happened next? This book looks at the life of Jesus from the "coming down to earth" to the time when his friends saw him taken up to heaven. It introduces the child to twelve major episodes in the life of Jesus and helps to dispel the "three-month life span" indicated by the Christian year. The story is set within the context of Daisy Hill Primary School, where we meet Mrs Hazel and class 2H. Events covered include the annunciation, birth, presentation at the Temple and baptism of Jesus; his friends, healing ministry and teaching; and the events of the Holy Week, Good Friday and Easter. A prayer is incorporated into each story and there are Bible references at the end of the book to facilitate use in school assembly and church groups.
