The Original Tails is the second book of the series, Tails of Two-Paw Estates, written specifically to include the perspective of Miss Bee's peculiarly catty cats Socks and White-Out. This delightful children's poem will retell the story of the happenings of Two-Paw Estates as witnessed through the pleasant personality of Socks and the ever-grumpy disposition of White-Out. Both fluffy companions like to patrol the neighborhood all night and take indulgent cat naps during tea time each lovely afternoon just hoping for a crumb of Miss Bee's lemon cookies to fall to the ground. Before long, the school bus has arrived, and the feline companions are forced to endure yet another people activity of flower gardening and football tosses, the worst fate in the world for a cat when a simple scratch, stroke, or pat on the back would suffice.

The only thing in the world Socks and White-Out truly want is Miss Bee's undivided attention, but they have come to accept that in living life as a cat, sometimes there are people and activities involved who vie for Miss Bee's attention. Nevertheless, they exist to strut their stuff at night and let everyone in Two-Paw Estates know.... Socks and White-Out were here. Check out the other books in this series Miss Bee and The Butterfly Garden, The Brothers of Two Paw Estates, and the original story The Legend of the Secret Flowers.
