Tony blundell was born in London in 1951. He trained at Harrow School of Art and Exeter College of Art, London. Brough Girling is a well-known author of children's books - Jets, Jokebooks and fiction for older readers - all humourous stuff. He was the first head of the Children's Book Foundation [now Young Book Trust]; editor of Young Telegraph and still heads up Readathon which raises enormous sums of money for children's charities during National Book Week.
