Berlie Doherty is an English novelist, poet, playwright and screenwriter. Doherty has won many awards, including the Carnegie Medal twice. A former primary school head teacher, Chris has led church youth group activities, written school Christmas plays, written and performed summer events for Sunday school and led worship sessions on youth house parties. At his current church Chris has been a Pathfinder leader, acted with the drama group and for many years has sung in the choir.
