It's been 110 years since Frederick Warne published Beatrix Potter's very first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, and in celebration, we are delighted to be publishing special editions of her entire body of work. Unlike the traditional little white books, these editions have delightful colourful covers and specially designed endpapers. And to make them extra special, we have included a publisher's note to tell you all about the history of how each book came to be. Mrs. Tittlemouse is a terribly tidy little wood mouse. She is always sweeping her burrow, polishing and tidying. It is an endless job and it seems that no sooner has she made a good start than another messy visitor appears and leaves their muddy footprints everywhere. Beatrix Potter had in her youth made beautiful microscopic studies of insects, and this knowledge enabled her to produce delightful pictures of the many uninvited guests, from spiders to bees, found in Mrs. Tittlemouse's underground home. The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse is number 11 in Beatrix Potter's series of 23 little books.

The Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse
"The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse" is a charming children's book written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter, first published in 1910. The story centers around a tidy and industrious little mouse named Mrs. Tittlemouse. Here's a summary of the plot:
Mrs. Tittlemouse is a sweet and meticulous mouse who lives in a tiny, neat house in a hedge. One day, while cleaning her home, she is interrupted by various uninvited guests, including a toad, a beetle, a bee, a frog, and a woodmouse. Each visitor makes a mess and leaves Mrs. Tittlemouse's house in disarray.
Despite her polite attempts to shoo them away, the guests refuse to leave, creating chaos in her home. Mrs. Tittlemouse becomes frustrated but continues to clean up after her unruly visitors, determined to restore her house to its tidy state.
Eventually, Babbity Bumble, a well-behaved bee, arrives at Mrs. Tittlemouse's house. Unlike the other visitors, Babbity Bumble helps Mrs. Tittlemouse clean up the mess and even apologizes for the behavior of the other insects.
Grateful for Babbity Bumble's help, Mrs. Tittlemouse offers her some honey and seeds as a token of appreciation. With her home finally back in order, Mrs. Tittlemouse can enjoy her peaceful life once again.
"The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse" is a story that highlights the importance of tidiness, hospitality, and good manners.
