Alex Ruhle (Author) Alex Ruhle was born in 1969, and went on to study Comparative Literature, French, Theology and Philosophy in Munich, Paris and Berlin. He is a renowned journalist and works as a culture editor for Suddeutsche Zeitung. He lives in Munich with his family. Axel Scheffler (Illustrator) Axel Scheffler is an award-winning, internationally-acclaimed illustrator of some of the most well-loved children's books, including The Gruffalo. His books have been published in many languages and his work has been exhibited all around the world. Courtney Acampora holds a B. A. in art history from San Diego State University and a M. A. from the University of Arizona. Currently working in publishing, Courtney's lifelong love for both art and books fused together and gave her the opportunity to write and create engaging books for kids. Courtney lives in San Diego, California. Beatrice Tinarelli was born and raised in Bologna, Italy in 1978. She worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer and has been drawing and painting ever since she can remember. After her graduation in Arts in 1997, she studied painting, anatomical/medical illustration, and animation. Later on, after years of mostly focusing on advertising and graphic design, Beatrice was ready to go back to her roots and become a professional illustrator. Now she is, and she works for clients all over the world. Beatrice is also a long time DJ and has lived her whole life in music. Beatrice is represented by Lemonade Illustration Agency Jane Bingham is an experienced author and editor of children's books.
