Deborah Blumenthal is an award-winning journalist and the author of two BookSense 76 winners, including Aunt Claireis Yellow Beehive Hair. She worked as a home design columnist for New Yorkis Newsday, and her stories have appeared in national magazines such as The Washington Post, Family Circle, and Cosmopolitan. A native New Yorker, Blumenthal now lives in Houston, Texas, and works as a full-time writer. Timothy Basil Ering says that the story of Frog Belly Rat Bone was inspired by a visit to the botanical gardens in Pasadena, California. Timothy's work has appeared in books, magazines, theatre sets and fine art galleries, though this is his first picture book. He lives in Massachusetts, USA.
