Born in Paris, Barroux spent much of his childhood in North Africa. He later attended art school in France. He has created several children's picture books including Where's the Elephant?, Where's the Starfish? and Welcome. His books have received widespread critical acclaim and been nominated for several awards including the Kate Greenaway Medal. Elizabeth Encarnacion has been a children's book editor for nine years and has also written several books for kids. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering as a Girl Scout leader. She lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
