A series which makes use of stunning photography to illustrate how animals/plants grow. The text is specifically written to cater for a range of reading abilities. Watch It Grow: Snail captures photographically the lifecycle of a snail, from egg to baby and on to fully-grown adult. It is written by Barrie Watts and illustrated with his own photography that has been commissioned for the series. The book also looks at how a snail moves around, how it gets food and how it mates. Each spread addresses one stage of the lifecycle. The text works on two different levels. The first simple paragraph reads in conjunction with the picture to give an overview, while the main text expands these points in greater detail.
