Michael Emberley is the illustrator of many books for children including Hello Benny!, Go! Go! Maria!, and Barbara Bottner's Miss Brooks' Story Nook . Michael lives in Ireland. Peggy Rathmann was born in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in psychology. 'I wanted to teach sign language to gorillas,' she says, 'but after taking a class in signing, I realized what I'd rather do was draw pictures of gorillas. ' She then studied children's illustration in Los Angeles. She now lives in California.
