Frantz Wittkamp was born in 1943, studied art education and biology and lives and works as a freelance graphic designer in Ludingshausen, as well as being an award-winning artist and poet. Many of his books have been published by Beltz & Gelberg. He lives in Germany. Axel Scheffler has had books published in over a dozen countries. Born in Hamburg, he now lives in London.
