So you want to be a rock star, huh? Well, first you'll need an awesome vintage electric guitar. Don't have one of those? That's okay. All you need to do is to close your eyes and strum with your right hand. Oh, and make a face like your stomach really hurts. Can't sing? No problem! Your voice doesn't need to be perfect. Just really loud. Perfect for young fans of Rock Band and the Disney pop stars, So You Want to Be a Rock Star will teach budding musicians all they need to know about becoming a bona fide rock star, and the interactive text will keep their parents rocking--and laughing--too!

Audrey Vernick is a self-taught singer-songwriter, especially if you take away the singer-song part. Like a true rock star, she has lived much of her life on the road (though in her case, it has more to do with driving her children the various rocking places they need to go). She once caught a harmonica tossed her way by a full-fledged rock star. She plays all instruments equally well. Audrey lives near the ocean in New Jersey with one of each of the following: husband, son, daughter, dog. www. audreyvernick. com Kirstie Edmunds is a rock'n'roll "artist" from the UK, who packed up all her (drawing) instruments and left her little country town for the bright lights of the big city. She can usually be found in the studio, singing loudly and drumming classic rock tunes on the table with her favorite colored pencils. She's so wild she once set fire to her own hair in a restaurant (by accident of course!) and she now lives just south of London, performing the occasional private concert to the neighbour's cat and her banjo-loving husband-to-be. This is her debut picture book. http://pencilpocket. blogspot. com Liz Garton Scanlon and Audrey Vernick have collaborated on two previous picture books: Bob, Not Bob! and Dear Substitute , which both received multiple starred reviews.
