Her novels have been published in eighteen different languages. JOHN NIEUWENHUIZEN is an Australian-based, award-winning translator of Dutch and Flemish literature. In 2007, John was awarded the NSW Premier's Translation Prize and PEN Medallion. In 2015 he was recognised with an IBBY Australia Honour Book award for Translation for his translation of Nine Open Arms by Benny Lindelauf. Anton Quintana is an award-winning Dutch author of children's books. He also writes for radio and TV. He is widely translated in Europe, and The Baboon King has been translated into English, French and Spanish. John Niewenhuizen was born in the Netherlands, and has lived in Australia since 1955. He is a librarian and translater.
