Meet the Diamond Brothers, the world's worst private-detective agency, in this Chandler-esque spoof from the creator of the bestselling Alex Rider series.
This book features the following character:
Tim Diamond
Tim Diamond is a fictional character in the Diamond Brothers series, written by British author Anthony Horowitz. Tim, whose real name is Herbert Timothy Simple, is a comically inept private detective. Although he calls himself a detective, he is actually hopeless at solving mysteries and frequently gets himself into absurd situations due to his lack of intelligence, clumsiness, and naivety. The real brains behind the operation is Tim's younger brother, Nick Diamond, a sharp and resourceful 13-year-old who often takes it upon himself to solve the cases that come their way. Despite being much younger, Nick is the one who figures out the clues, while Tim generally bumbles his way through the investigations, providing comic relief. The Diamond Brothers series is a humorous take on detective stories, blending mystery, action, and comedy. Tim's character adds a light-hearted, slapstick element to the books, contrasting with Nick's wit and cleverness as they work together to solve cases, often finding themselves in dangerous or ridiculous predicaments.
