September 2000 marks the advent of the National Numeracy Strategy in secondary schools. In response to this fundamental change in mathematics teaching, the aim of the Formula One Maths series is to ensure that pupils progress well throughout Key Stage 3, and build upon the skills they have already acquired.
Pupils Book C2 is specially designed for use with year 9 pupils and covers all the material in the National Numeracy Strategy's Framework for Teaching Mathematics. Each double-page spread is designed to cover one lesson, and follows the structure of a Numeracy Lesson, including mental activities, a 'Task' and plenty of practice questions. There is also a special 'Finishing off' section for consolidation.
This book is part of a book series called Formula One Maths .
This book is suitable for Key Stage 3. KS3 covers school years 7, 8 and 9, and ages 12-14 years. A key stage is any of the fixed stages into which the national curriculum is divided, each having its own prescribed course of study. At the end of each stage, pupils are required to complete standard assessment tasks. This book is aimed at children in secondary school.
