George and Lily are curious and full of ideas, but their adventures always seem to end in disaster! Each title features either one or both characters on a different topic, and the stories make that topic familiar and reassuring for children. George and Lily will be enjoyed by pre-school children and first readers who will enjoy the tenderness of the stories. George is Jealous: For her birthday Lily is given a pair of skates, just like the ones that George wanted. He is very jealous, but when he gets his own skates he soon realizes it is much more fun to go skating with Lily. George at the Seaside: George wants to go wind-surfing, and he boasts to all the other children that he is a swimming champion! But finally the truth comes out that he can't swim at all, and so they all learn together in the pool.
