"Priscilla and the Hollyhocks" by Anne Broyles is a touching story set in the early 20th century, centered around a young girl named Priscilla. Living in a small town, Priscilla struggles with the expectations placed upon her as a girl in a time when women were often limited to domestic roles. Her passion for gardening and her bond with her beloved hollyhocks become a symbol of her individuality and strength. As Priscilla faces challenges from her community and family, she learns to embrace her dreams and the beauty of standing out. This heartfelt tale highlights themes of resilience, self-discovery, and the importance of pursuing one's passions. [Generated by language model - please report any problems].
