Jane Olliver was born in New Zealand. She began her career as a teacher before moving into children's publishing as an editor. She was Publishing Director of Grisewood and Dempsey, the book packager and publisher which became Kingfisher Books. Jane lives in Suffolk with her husband and daughter. Annabel Spenceley has illustrated a number of titles for Kingfisher. These include the Bedtime Stories, Spooky Stories and Animal Stories Treasuries. Annabel Spenceley has illustrated many books for children of all ages, both fiction and non-fiction, including Cinderella in the Storyteller series.
