Eric Heuvel is one of the top graphic artists in the Netherlands. He concentrated on writing and illustrating educational graphic novels. Ruud van der Rol and Lies Schippers have both written and edited books and educational materials about Anne Frank, the Holocaust, human rights, prejudice and discrimination. Tony Langham wrote his first poem aged seven. After thirty years doing various jobs, Tony decided to become a full-time writer and now writes stories, plays and poems for children of all ages and travels around the UK giving performances in schools. He is married with children and lives in Yorkshire. Debbie Harter has illustrated over 20 books for Barefoot, including the beloved Bear series and several singalongs. As a child, Debbie would lose herself in books (as long as they had pictures) and hopes to continue doing so until she is very old. The Anne Frank House, opened to the public in 1960, serves as a present-day reminder of the war, the plight of its Jewish inhabitants, Anne Frank's indomitable spirit and the celebrated diary she wrote during the time she spent in hiding in its Secret Annexe.
