Reader 1, Level 3, In Your Own Words edited by Anna Murphy. Twenty-five strange-but-true real-life stories which originally appeared in the Sunday Telegraph Magazine column 'In Your Own Words'. The personal accounts, which are no more than 600 words long, narrate events in the writers' lives when the ordinary has turned into the extraordinary. These personal narratives feature childhood memories, encounters with animals, travelling tales, experiences of parenthood, and brushes with death.
