Elizabeth Baguley studied English Literature before going on to train as a teacher. She began writing for children when she discovered the power of picture books when reading to her daughters. Elizabeth is available for bookshop, school and library events. Caroline Pedler is an experienced illustrator. Karen Sapp is the author of "Who is Sleeping?" and has illustrated several children's books, including "Teddy Bears' Day Out. " Liza Miller studied at Durham University before pursuing a career in children's publishing. She now writes and edits fiction and non-fiction for children of all ages. Polona Lovsin lives in Slovenia, and she trained to become a painter at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. Stella Maidment has written story books, puzzle books, activity books and retellings of classics such as the 'Tales of the Arabian Nights'. Her work includes a major updating of Enid Blyton's 'Noddy' stories, and, with a co-author, the creation of a best-selling course for teaching English as a foreign language to primary school children all over the world. Daniela Dogliani was born in Italy and has been passionate about comics and illustration since she was a child. She turned her hobby into her profession first in art high school and then at the Academy of Fine Arts where she gained a master in Visual Arts. Daniela has worked as a freelance illustrator since 2007. Kate Agnew is co-owner of the Children's Bookshop in Muswell Hill and has also worked as a children's book consultant, reviewer and editor. She was winner of a British Books Award for contributions to National Year of Reading. Kate lives in London with her husband and daughter and has written several Reading Ladder stories, including Space Saver and Shout, Show and Tell. Illustrator Anna Jones has worked with several children's and educational publishers, including Egmont, Igloo, Scholastic, Macmillan and Bloomsbury. She lives in Brighton. Series consultant Nikki Gamble is the director of Just Imagine, a specialist resource and training centre for Primary English. She is Associate Consultant at the University of London, Institute of Education. Suzy Senior lives with her family and a small gang of pets, at the top of a huge hill in Yorkshire. Her background is in publishing, working with lots of wonderful bookshops. Her favourite type of books are picture books - she loves reading them, writing them and talking about them! She was shortlisted in the National Literacy Trust and Bloomsbury Children's Books Poetry Prize 2015. James Newman Gray is an exceptionally talented illustrator. He specialised in Illustration at Wolverhampton University and has had a successful career working in greetings cards, where his ability to change styles has been very useful - varying from contemporary designs and characters, to hand lettering, cute characters and detailed line-work. James has now brought his talents to children's book illustration, where his adorable creations really bring the pages to life. He is a self-proclaimed cat person and collects vintage synthesizers.
